Rain, Rain, Come Back again

We were lucky to have a timely rain early during seeding, but it was getting pretty dry again.

I spent way too much time and energy watching storm systems on the radar, but they never came within reach of our farm to share that life giving rain.

This week we received an inch of rain, which i hope will get the later seeded crops jumping and filling in the patchy holes. I have been holding off spraying weeds due to the crop not being mature enough to grow through the chemical herbicide, but the weeds are energizer batteries and never stop growing.

Fingers crossed this weekend i can get caught up and get ahead of the next flush of weeds.

Who knows, maybe in time for another million dollar rain during Canada Day...
