I see it's almost been a year since my last update, and wouldn't you knot it, it's harvest time again! We have in the field all August combining peas and dryland wheat. More like mowing, as the dry summer didn't produce great crops. We have only received two inches of in-season rain, so its been a brown summer.

One thing we added this summer to our agronomic tool box was a weed seed destroyer. it is mounted under the combine harvester and all the chaff is put through this hammer mill to crush weed seeds. This will help us control more weeds before they germinate and use less herbicides.

I hope to remember to do more updates in the future, but as always, check our our social media for more up to date pictures and info.

Rain, Rain, Come Back again

We were lucky to have a timely rain early during seeding, but it was getting pretty dry again. I spent way too much time and energy...
